Overview: We are looking for a self-starter who will thrive in a rapidly growing company and be able to pivot on priorities. This person will execute with precision to enable us to revise and scale our current processes through the next stage of growth. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail oriented, has a natural curiosity for process improvement and enjoys the flexible nature of a high growth company. Will work closely with the finance leadership and departmental leaders on company initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of cross-functional tools to enhance the efficiency and timeliness of the close process and to provide valuable insights for leadership to make informed business decisions
  • Consolidate and analyze data while producing efficient and accurate reporting
  • Ensure timely execution of month-end closing tasks in collaboration with the accounting team
  • Assist the accounting team (both remote and local) with various daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes
  • Post journal entries ensuring all supporting documentation and approvals are completed
  • Undertake project work and other tasks as needed
  • Maintain utmost confidentiality of sensitive company financial information

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel is required, including advanced skills in Macros and Power Query. SQL and other programming knowledge a plus
  • College degree in related field and minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in consulting, professional services, or similar field
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping, knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting functional areas, and internal controls
  • Extremely detailed-oriented with ability to self-check work, while maintaining an understanding of materiality
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and multitasking skills in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and seek resources as needed
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

 

The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
